Central West End

Overview of Central West End

Located on the western edge of the city and east of Forest Park, Central West End (CWE for short) is incredibly walkable and beautiful. You'll find everything from upscale dining to cozy coffee shops, world-class art galleries to live music venues, and even a chess club on the sidewalk where you can join in on a game. The neighborhood is situated between Forest Park and the St. Louis University campus, with the Washington University School of Medicine, the BJC Healthcare campus, and the Cortex Innovation Community nearby.

The CWE has a rich history that can be seen in its stunning turn-of-the-century homes, public artwork, and famous residents like Albert Bond Lambert, Joseph Pulitzer, and Dwight Davis.
