It brings visitors, locals, developers, and residents alike.

Living in Downtown St. Louis

Living in Downtown St. Louis is an awesome experience if you're looking for an urban lifestyle in the middle of everything. You'll find a diverse range of housing options, from brick & beam lofts to newly constructed luxury high-rise buildings. Plus, the cost of living in St. Louis is lower than other major metropolitan areas, making it an attractive option for young professionals and families.

One of the biggest advantages of living in Downtown St. Louis is the walkability. You'll be able to access all the amenities downtown has to offer, whether it's a night out at a restaurant or concert venue, or a day exploring one of the parks in Downtown. There are also great public transportation options, including the MetroLink and bus routes.

As with any urban area, there are some potential downsides to living downtown. A big one is the noise level, particularly during major events or festivals. You'll also need to be prepared for parking, which can be difficult to find and expensive in some areas if your building does not have a garage.

Things to do in Downtown St. Louis

One of the best parts of Downtown STL is the culture. Downtown is home to the National Blues Museum, Stifel Theatre, and Busch Stadium, which hosts concerts by world-famous artists like Ed Sheeran and Billy Joel.

There are also numerous festivals and parades throughout the year, including the popular Fair St. Louis on the Arch grounds, the Big Muddy Blues Festival, and the Arch Winterfest, which boasts a temporary outdoor ice rink during the winter months.

Downtown Food Scene

Downtown is a foodie’s paradise. There’s more than 300 restaurants of all types of cuisine and ethnicities. From local chains to upscale eateries like Tony’s, the region’s only five-star restaurant, you'll find something in Downtown.

You can also head to the top floor of the Hilton at the Ballpark to enjoy the swanky 360 bar with its indoor/outdoor seating and stunning views of the city and the river. Going to 360 is better for the views than the food, but it’s one of the coolest places to grab a bite in St. Louis.
