Since Whitmoor is a country club community, it is also a golf cart community. It’s a fun way for neighbors to visit each other and ride to the clubhouse or the pool.

The Golf Courses at Whitmoor

Whitmoor Country Club is known for its two stunning golf courses, the North Course and the South Course.

The North course is a par-71 course, a tad shorter than the South course, which is a par-72.

Renowned golf course architect Karl Litten designed both courses. They feature beautifully manicured greens, challenging holes, and lovely views.

Both courses incorporate rolling hills and weave through Whitmoor’s residential neighborhoods. Some of the most desirable homes are located on the golf course.

The courses are open to members and their guests, making it easy to enjoy a round of golf on a whim.

North Whitmoor vs. South Whitmoor: Which is easier?

It depends on which tees you’re playing from. The blue tees on the south are harder, and the white tees are easier.

Whitmoor South has a hillier terrain, and most people will tell you it tends to be the more challenging course.

There are 10 lakes scattered throughout the courses, but the North Course has more water features.

The greens can be unforgiving, so make sure to club up on uphill shots and know your pin placements.

Aside from the two courses, Whitmoor has an expansive driving range and two putting greens, so getting some practice in is always easy.

The Friday night Nine-N-Dines are fun for members to mingle and hang out. My husband, Josh, and I love going to them and catching up with friends. They’re also great if you are less experienced with golf, so it’s a great event for golfers of any skill level.

If you’re looking to improve your golf skills, Whitmoor has year-round teaching programs so you can learn from an expert.

The Trophy Room is perfect for all kinds of special events, including birthday parties, wedding receptions, and corporate events.

Whether you want to work out, relax by the pool, or host a party, Whitmoor has something for everyone.

We absolutely love the new pool, which was recently completed! The main Olympic-sized pool was shut down for a while due to a pipe burst, but now it is fully operational.

New Club Ownership

Concert Golf Partners acquired Whitmoor Country Club in December 2022 as the 29th private club in their portfolio.

They bought the club from the Whittaker family, who originally built and managed it from 1988 to 2022.

The Whittaker family built their reputation in the homebuilding business. Bob Whittaker started Whittaker Homes in 1977 and grew it to one of the largest homebuilding companies in Missouri by 1996.

Bob’s love for golf was a hobby and a passion that led him to develop four top golf clubs in St. Louis, including the 36-hole Whitmoor Country Club. He also developed the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club, the Links at Dardenne, and the Golf Club of Wentzville.

When Bob passed away, his children took over the family business. In fact, his son, Greg Whittaker, is behind the unique development of New Town at St. Charles.

Now, Whitmoor has seen some changes to its amenities and pricing structure under new ownership.
